Mirror: City watched River Plate midfielder Matias Kranevitter (21) against Boca yesterday and are considering a bid.

I am exited about this because I mentioned him in a transfer thread last summer as a recommendation.

I have watched him a bit a few times over the last 12 months for River and you can see at times where the hype comes from.

Argentina have hopes of him eventually succeeding Mascherano and be part of the great holding midfield line of Simeone - Mascherano - ??

Lucas Romero is another one.

Yeah, agreed. He was the BEST MAN (Note 7 from 10 his performance) in a River t-shirt on the field yesterday...

And with 48 games played at River, this dude would not be bad, for sure...

But, I read in Marca too, that Atléti (Atlético Madrid) are behind him... let´s see what happen with him in the next two other games, the next 2 others "Clásicos"... :-)

Cheers mate!!!

From the other one, never heard about him... but, I have to confess, since Gareca isn´t anymore their couch (from Velez Sarfield), I dind´t follow the team so much...

But, he looks like a properly player too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_Romero

Better than Zuculini?
Maybe. But River is ANYWAY bigger and rather a powerhouse than Racing, where Zucculini came.

In between, I don´t still really know, if Zucu is better than his brother... the ex-Zaragoza & Hoffenheim former player... Franco: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco_Zuculini

I just think, that the older brother (Franco) showed more character and was a good prospect as a player. Hés still 24 and a cheap alternative for some middle table teams... maybe to get him as a good player to have on the bench... and to have a eye on him...

With all due respect to Zuculini, Kranevitter is a lot better.

Zuculini was bought as more of a prospect if you ask me which could have gone either way, he was only 1.5m which to put into comparison we have spent similar and more on some of our EDS players.

If I remember correctly there were reports we were going to pull out of the deal but due to some promise we had to buy him.

Kranevitter from what I have seen looks like he really could go on and replace Mascherano.

Here is a decent video of him.

Very Matic like in my opinion.
Thanks, lad. You´re really a contribution here in this forum. Sorry, if I´m sometimes gone here, but it really depress me all the time this moaning about Pelle or every little thing about the team, or some kind of "fans" that only come to this place to bring some negativity... and I have enough of that stuff in my life everyday also. I come here in this forum to have a nice time and to talk about football, just like that.

Have a nice day, mate!

C´mon City!!!!
