Any truth in this? I can't imagine him being better than 4 that we already have.

@tSTransfer: Transfer rumours: Arsenal and Man City competing with AC Milan for Italy striker <a class="postlink" href="http://t.co/83YFNwZj" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://t.co/83YFNwZj</a>

AC Milan are lining up a January move for Arsenal and Manchester City target Alessandro Matri.

The 28-year-old striker has started just four Juventus games in Serie A so far this season and is open to a move away if it guarantees him more playing time.

Arsenal and City were both understood to be keen on a possible summer move for Matri, who has scored three times this season.

But now, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Milan have joined the chase for the Italy international, who came through the ranks at the San Siro.

Juventus, it has been suggested, would be ready to sell for around £12.5m this month but are yet to receive a formal offer from Milan.

Everyone is a "Manchester City target", that way we are "snubbed" when he goes somewhere else. It makes me laugh when some semi-obscure player "snubs Man City" to join some mid-table club as if we made a bid in the first place.

Continued interest from Premier League clubs to Alessandro Matri, and second Bundesligapremier.it the Juventus striker would come under fire for two major club across the Channel. It's Arsenal and Manchester City, with the Bianconeri are ready to accept an offer at least 15 million.

I think AC Milan will sign him as a cheaper alternative to Mario Balotelli.
