I’m not sure why some people think a proportion of footballers aren’t as bat shit crazy as the general population. In fact, I’d wager there’s a higher proportion, due to the general lack of education within football ranks.

One would hope that those who have grown and experienced more of the world than most would have broadened their education and experience levels. MLT proves that’s not always the case, just as Hoddle did before him!

Le Tissier wasn't remotely interested in conspiracy theories or politics (other than being pro-Brexit and admiring Thatcher) until recently. He admitted to never having voted when he was a player. I honestly think all of this stems from being butthurt that he couldn't see his grandchildren during lockdown. He certainly didn't think the media was the root of all evil when he was on Sky.
