All the top clubs can pay huge wages and bonuses these days, plus CL football. He could take his pick from Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG, Juve, and us. Why the fuck would he sign for the rags?

Who would say no to playing between Smalling and Young? 500k a week is pretty decent too
 
I get why kids are attracted to having the rags on their CV but if they really looked at who is managing them and the standard of players they would be playing with and the last 5 + yrs they have been well and truely knocked off their perch it's a mystery that they would want to go there,lots of money in the bank though i suppose

Just think UTD will out bid anyone who is more interested in coin.

Barca have drifted away since De Ligt has upped his wages & of course agent fee.

City walked away weeks ago IMO.

Great signing for the scum if it goes through, just think if Barca were still at the table he would have signed pre contract by now.

I think he only has UTD at the table so now he walks away not saying where he is going allowing last minute bidding.
 
Maybe the agent, (Raiola), is just trying to get a proxy agent in place to let the deal go ahead?
Also Liverpool probably the most desirable PL club after us, for trophies, and one more likely to pay the higher agent's fees and wages have still got a game to play, on Saturday.
I assume they will get more prize money if they win, and it would be a sign Liverpool don't bottle all their finals.

At first I thought Liverpool would be all over this guy with them having his Dutch partner aswell but Klopp doesn’t want to take game time away from Gomez so they have not gone in for him . Would hate Utd to get this defender as he is quality.
 
is he totally out of our range? He would provide us with what Van Dijk did for the scouse defence and enabled them to make the title a good deal closer Vinny leaving is a huge blow on and off the pitch by all accounts this guy can be the natural successor and its not as if we need a major overhaul of the squad We need 3 maybe 4 players tops No point in investing in players that are not better than what we have its extremely difficult because there are not so many truly world class players available and at a price thats attainable Finally we have earned our stellar standing over the last few years with a coach who is one, if not the best in world football if a player doesnt fancy it fine then fook him off

Let's just offer what they're asking for him and see where it takes us, you never know Pep and Tixix might just talk him round into dropping his wage demands and join us
