Mayonnaise or salad cream?

Typical of BM. Two seasoned BM posters were having a debate on one of the most inmportant questions to be raised on here for a long time and then it degenerates into a load of bollocks about Tories/EU/UKIP and referendums.

Let's get back to the subject worthy of serious discussion: Do you prefer mayo or salad cream?

For moi, I prefer mayo in sarnies or chicken burgers etc but can't stand it with a salad when it has gotta be a dollop of salad cream.

Mayonnaise = People trying to be posh.

Just done a quick google on the difference. It seems that the ingredients are largely the same but mayo is more oil based and salad cream relies more on vinegar.

I just find mayo too bland for a salad but s/c too over-powering in a sarnie.
Can't beat a nice lemon pepper mayo inside a chicken salad sarnie.
