Mayweather vs. Canelo Thread

A lot of people were calling for this fight I thought it was a few fights early for Canelo. Money is the most techinically gifted fighter of his generation and he made Canelo look like a novice at times which he is not. I thought Canelo would of put up a better go of the fight to be honest than he did and it would of been closer. Fuck if it was closer Canelo would of won on the judges card that scored it a draw. Crazy scoring that 1 lol. I honestly thought Canelo should of boxed Trout again before taking on money.

Just looking at whats out there and how far Money can or would be willing to go up to another division to Middleweight. Were he could fight Sergio Marthinez or which is highly unlikely a fight with the most dangerous fighter at the moment Gennady Golovkin he is the only fighter out there that Money would find hard to beat as the power he posses also I think he might move up to Super Middleweight for the fights with the bigger fighters there.

So whos next the winner of Bradley v Marquez or a fight with Devon Alexander or even a fight with Amir Khan Money said he wants to fight in the UK v Khan or Brook is the option. Who knows who it will be next.

Mayweather is one if the greatest boxers ever he just never hardly gets punched

Agreed. No where near the greatest fighter, but practising boxing as an art he has to be one of the very best. Don't get hit and just do enough to win.

Agree with that. The difference between him and others though is that he is a self promoting, marketing genius.

I mean he probably got way over 1 million buys for doing not very much and made over 40m dollars over it.

Don't know what was up with Alverez, it was like he froze and forgot to throw his combinations, perhaps he was still in shock over that Lil' Wayne entrance?

-- Sun Sep 15, 2013 1:39 pm --

A fucking draw? What match was that female watching?

Didn't she score the Bradley Pacman fight?

Yep she did. She must do it for a laugh.

personally I think it';s more sinister. I feel that she did that for the Casinos. Most people said Mayweather on Pts by unanimous decision, instead it's a majority decision, wonder how many millions have been saved?

It's usually the case on the whole as the markets basically, win by KO or PTs. However some casinos offer all kinds of markets, be it round ko's, group rounds ko, first or second half ko etc. Same goes for points, check skybet. A yank explained it all to me a few years back and said that went some way to explaining bad decisions/;

Market Betting Rules

Fight Outright
You're betting on: Who will be the official winner of the fight.

Fight Outcome
You're betting on: which fighter will win and whether they win it during the fight, or on points (e.g. R. Hatton to win on points).

If a points verdict is given before the full number of scheduled rounds then that is deemed as a win in rounds 1-12.
A points victory is only when the full number of rounds has been completed.
Fight Special Bets
For any special bets involving knockdowns a fighter must be physically knocked down by his opponent and the knockdown receives an official count by the referee or the fighter is knocked down and the referee deems the fighter unable to continue and stops the fight without the need for a count.
Method of Victory
You're betting on: which fighter will win and by what method (e.g. A Khan to win by knockout).

The result is settled on the official way the fight was won:

KO = Knockout - (Typically this is when a fighter is knocked down and unable to beat the referee's count)
TKO = Technical Knockout - (Typically this is when a fighter is knocked down and gets up to beat the count but the referee stops the fight as he deems him not fit to continue or the referee feels the boxer is taking too much punishment and stops the fight)
RTD = Opponent Retired - (Typically this is when a boxer returns to his corner at the end of the round but doesn't come out for the next round as his corner or doctor has deemed him unfit to continue)
UD = Unanimous Decision - (This is when all three judges agree which fighter won the fight when it goes to points after the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed)
SD = Split Decision - (This is when two of the three judges score for the same fighter to win the fight and the third judges scores for the other fighter when it goes to points after the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed)
MD = Majority Decision - (This is when two of the three judges score for the same fighter to win the fight and the third judge scores it a draw when it goes to the scorecards after the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed)
TD = Technical Decision – (Typically this is when has been a fight has to be stopped because of an accidental head butt and a fighter is deemed not able to continue due to an injury. The fight must pass a certain number of rounds set by the competition rules of that fight and then it goes to the judges scorecards and the winner decided on who was winning at that point when the fight was stopped. If a fight doesn't reach the required round when it happens then the fight is a technical draw)
DQ = Opponent Disqualified – (Typically this is because one of the opponents have repeatedly or flagrantly fouled an opponent or violated other rules. If both fighters are disqualified then the fight is declared a no contest).

Casinos would offer anything and everything most likely. No way could that card be legit. I genuinely and whole-heartedly think something more sinister is part of it. Her card for Pac v Bradley was awful. Even Bradley thought he lost the fight!

yeah i remember i went to bed shattered from staying up to watch the fight as soon as the final bell went as i thought i knew the result, it was only the next day when my mate said"fancy Paquiao getting beat" i found out,
i should of known the casinos would offer more bets as when i was there once i was able to place a bet on the Wlad v Haye fight ending in a KO either way, not been able to find that bet here, i thought 2 big punchers with dodgy chins, i cant lose : (
