I know it's a bit late but.. I figured I'd start a weekly thread.
About our matches and my view on the players and the game.

Last nights game showed that we can now beat lesser teams convincingly.
We showed class, desire and we really played the game well. I'm a little disappointed about Wright-Phillips' performance so far this season but last night he slowly got into the game. Ran into a few walls of players and made a couple of bad decisions when passing but he looks to have re-discovered his pace. Without Ireland we were able to let Tevez be more flexible upfront and towards the end of the game (depening on whether it was due to tiredness I dont know) but he was able to drop into midfield. Johnson and Santa Cruz look like they'll fit in very well in this new set-up and with almost half a squad missing we can still over-turn lesser teams.

The goal they scored was something that didn't need to happen. Lucky bounces do win games sometimes and if teams like Chelsea get goals like that, they will make us pay. Tevez looked like a class a part, but despite 2 goals, does need to work on his finishing. He missed 2 or 3 good chances that would have won us the game earlier but once he starts putting them in he'll be worth more than what we payed for him. He made some great runs and i'm glad to have him in the team. Bellamy looked impressive again. I think Robinho is now looking at a season on the bench or even a season on lon next season. With Bellamy and Petrov firing on all cylinders it's going to be a struggle for him to get back in. Nigel DE JONG looks twice the player he was last season. As does Bellamy.

On the Adebayor subject, i really dont know who to get rid of. SWP, Petrov or Tevez. But that's Hughes' job. We look very convincing when we go forward.

My Match Ratings:
Given: 7 - Didn't have much to do but made two very good saves.
Zabaleta: 7 - Richards has his work cut out to get back in the team.
Touré : 7 - Led the team well, didn't miss a challenge nin the second half.
Lescott: 7 - Does need to improve but he had a steady performance.
Bridge: 8 - Fantastic at going forward.

Barry: 8 - Great performance again. Afew hospital passes but well played.
De Jong 9: - Man of the Match for me.
Wright-Phillips 6: - Did look to be improved but still doesn't look good enough for a sure starting place
Petrov: 8 - Well played. Great Goal.

Bellamy: 8 - Looks different from last season. He's in for a great season.
Tevez 8: - Great effort for the full 90 minutes. Two goals and against his former club aswell!

Away Game Predicition: 2-1 to City.

I managed to get Tevezs second goal on my phone:
