MCSFC - Manchester City supporters football club

Train with MCFC coaches.

Hello everyone,

We have been offered a wonderful opportunity to train on Thursday nights 7pm-8pm with coaches from Mcfc Academy at Platt Lane (citys academy). Alright so its not as glamorous as having pellegrini and his merrymen tell you what to do but still great.

Players who would like to train are asked to pay £4 each to start with and if the numbers are good this price will come down, Platt Lane do charge us.

Players who attend sessions and are capable of 90 minutes on a matchday will be offered opportunities to play for MCSFC if they would like to play for us that is. No problem if not, you can still attend training and enjoy proper coaching and some banter with city fans!

If you would like to attend, please let me know.

Training is on tonight as per the post above.

I will not be there but Greg will be collecting the money and the session should be taken by Ralph the academy coach.

We are now five games into the season and have won all five with our latest win being away to Halifax and winning 6-4!!

Tommy.

Unfortunately we lost our first game of the season on Saturday away to Stoke. It looked like we were set for a thumping going down 3-0 inside 12 minutes but a bit of a re-shape got us back into the game but we could not unfortunately pull off a city vs spurs cup moment and ended up losing 4-3.

We have now have won 5 and lost 1.

We play Manchester United fans this Saturday at 2pm at Partington Sports village. Should be a feisty but great game. Any support is welcome!

If you would like to train with us on Thursday nights please let me know via twitter, email or phone. Its ages 16+ with the oldest probably being me at 33. Its £4 each and the coaching session is taken by an mcfc academy coach on 3G outside. Please feel free to pass on to anyone who may be interested! Only criteria is being a city fan.

Cheers,
Tommy

Alan Oliver (the casual hopper) who some of you may know has been ground hopping throughout the FA cup in order to raise money for the Christie.

As a follow on and end of that journey he is organising a couple of events. One being a concert and auction and secondly we have the daunting task of facing some man city legends at Droylsden FC. The game is to be played on Sunday 27th April 2014. Unfortunately it does clash with Palace away however for those not travelling down the palace city game will be shown after the event.

They are asking for a donation of £4 for adults and £1 for kids with all donations going towards the Christie charity. Beers will be available on the day!

Regardless of us being taught a lesson in football it should be a great day. We are looking for any local businesses to advertise in the programme its £15 for half page and £25 for a full one if any one knows who may be interested. The event will hopefully be advertised in the programme for city vs Fulham aswell. They are also looking for auction prizes if anyone can help!

We also have training today at Platt Lane 12pm. Its £5 each for two hours football and exercise :) Let me know if anybody wants to come down.

Please feel free to get in touch and I can pass on any details for the Christie event.

Tommy.

Hello!

We have some opportunities for players to get involved.

Due to a progressive relationship with Platt Lane academy and the impending academy move we hope to soon have access to the very good quality academy pitches. We already have fixtures against other supporters teams pencilled in for dates through September to December.

Unfortunately we have fallen short of a full squad over the last few weeks and urgently need some new players to get involved! If you know anyone who may want to turn out for us, its a great opportunity to get in the city kit and play other fans. We play all our games and train when it doesn't class with a city game so if you currently play Saturday and sunday league but miss games as a result of city they would never happen with us!

We train at Platt Lane and its just £4-£5 subs a week, less than a game of five aside at JJB soccerdome!!

Some dates we having coming up for training are as follows:

Sunday 14th September 1-3pm
Sunday 28th September 3-5pm
Sunday 05th October 3-5pm
Sunday 26th October 3-5pm

All inside the academy dome at Platt Lane, Manchester. Inbetween these training sessions we have games against other fan teams including southport, Morecambe, Preston and Altrincham.

If you are interested or know anyone who might be, get in touch. You can always come down and see what you think first.

Hi Tommy. Glad to see you're getting more training sessions sorted. I went down a few months back but haven't managed to since, mainly because you've been playing games and there haven't been many training sessions (the few that there have been I haven't been able to make or I've missed the tweets announcing when it is!). I think you putting on more training sessions is a good idea cos it gives new players more of a chance ot show what they're about. I'm hoping to get down on Sunday.

I'll also say to any City fans on here that might fancy going down that Tommy is a sound guy and although I've only been down the once so far the lads seem like a good bunch
