murphy knows what hes talking about, we should have thrown kev on from the start to get his foot in to their defense..... show them he's there!!!
Too true. We barely managed the win — it would have been very different had Kev been on the pitch from the off.

Much less nervy affair.

I watched the Press Preview on Sky News last night. Just before the last ad break the presenter mentioned City's achievement and promised to discuss it after the break. 30 seconds before the end of the show she squeezed it in and one of the reviewers still had time to claim that City had spent a billion pounds this season.

That has to be one of the most idiotic takes circulating today, and that is quite the distinction given the immense competition!
Do even the most knowledgable fans of other teams even take them seriously, everybody knows he has been injured most of the season and just coming back from another setback, god, they really are just shit stirring ****s.

Jenas is really annoying. Maybe it's the shit Nottingham accent.
Pissed off with yesterday's commentary. Not with Guy Mowbray, as I think he's pretty impartial. No. Just the all round turdishness, of the afore mentioned Jenas. Wetting himself for a Watford win, almost crying when the penalty appeal was turned down. Ended up having the Five Live commentary on, where Waddle and Dublin weren't exactly gushing, but at least fair.

Jenas is a dull spunktrumpet, who deserves contempt

Now turn to page 5 and read his article about "a nation's heart". Or see my previous post.
I did read it, and yes it wound me up a bit at first

But I’d make two other points:

1. He’s called us the best team ever. Not sure there is much negative spin to put on that, although I’m sure some people here will try.

2. The piece you quoted also said that “there remains a whiff of disgruntlement around the club and its supporters, a sense that due credit is still not theirs”. Now - here’s the thing - read most of the pages in this thread and he is absolutely right. In fact calling it a whiff underplays it.

It’s each to his or her own. For me I much prefer to accept the enormous amounts of positive coverage than stress myself about the negative stuff.

Well, depends if you are including the “most knowledgable” Dippers and Rags. ;-)

Yep, he was desperate for Watford to score or get anything. He finally gave up when our 4th went in.

Interesting I watched a bit of the dreaded Sunday Supplement this morning. Ducker was on - and he referred to the drinks reception with Pep - he seemed really pleased he’d got some private time with Pep and I know he generally hates us but you could see he responded to what the club had done - it was clearly killing him but he did acknowledge our achievements. Maybe we shouldn’t lump all the press together, there’s clearly the stupid ex footballer types like Murphy who we should just ignore, there’s a few who are generally onside, Mullock and Lipton et al. There’s those who will come and go but whom we can manage the worst excesses of like Kay and Winter and then there’s the fuckwits like Delaney and Harris who frankly we should restrict and take action against.

The thing I love most about Jenas on commentary is when he speaks about himself as if he was a great player. It's fucking hilarious.

I've got no time for ducker. I think he's worse than the ones like delaney and castles who outright hate us. Ducker and ogden are supposed to be Manchester correspondents and they are pricks.

Danny the tool Murphy saying Kevin will want to leave city because he was on the bench for the final yesterday Haha you know he's been injured nearly all season and you don't just drop the boys who've got us to that final just because he's fit give it a rest you sour dipper fool

Did you notice how Mowbray shouted ‘that was THE chance’ not A chance, but THE, like it was the chance we’d all be waiting for - he was absolutely gutted. They really wanted a pen too... but couldn’t quite make a case for it and had to settle for it would be a pen next year. Jenas started the game with ‘Watford are not underdogs here’. So a team 48 points behind in the league are favourites are they? Of all the people in the U.K. - quite how both BT and BBC can employ Jenas as a commentator is frankly baffling, then again BT employ Steve ‘he should have went’ McManaman.
