The media shite has started, Liverpool cheated, it should have been a penalty blah blah blah. Nobody fucking cares, the game is over, we take a point and move on. Tense game and I can see for a neutral it might have been exciting, but as @IrishBlueSince92 said it lacked quality, especially from us. I feel we got dragged into a frantic and emotional game which suited Liverpool and lost our composure and discipline.

Ederson has pushed it a bit this season and become a bit erratic. I said after the derby if he makes a challenge like that at Anfield it's a penalty and so it proved. Okay, a different type of challenge but it was down to him piling in and not using his head. If he's injured maybe a spell out might give Ortega a chance to shine. If he does he may struggle to regain his place.

As for the non penalty I can see why it wasn't given. Equally I wouldn't have been surprised if it was. Again a fucking stupid challenge so late in the game. We really need to stop giving refs and the opposition gifts. Thankfully this time Oliver was on our side for once.

The VAR bloke was for a change. Youre right though, stupid contest for the ball on the edge of the box by a forward who was trying to defend

What are you disagreeing with?

Looking at that game, plus the respective run-ins, how could you not be more positive about the Liverpool performance than ours?

It’s funny but the ONLY thing in our favor at the moment is the sentiment that “City always come good at this time of year!”

Are you seeing that? Consistently? Where? Who? Against whom?

Objectively, the City-Arsenal game might be better for Liverpool that us, and they both look far more “on it” than us recently!

This might be the year we win the Treble AGAIN…or sweet fuck all, because we are playing a little Jeckyl and Hyde at the moment and no-one seems quite sure who which City team will show up.

- The rest of the PL season is going to be a challenge.
- The FA Cup has regained its panache now that it’s one of the few trophies the Top 6 can win.
- The CL looks to have morphed into the ACTUAL Top 8 teams in Europe for a change, which means no easy games left!

We have it ALL within our grasp, but on current form (as good as the lack of losses has been) it’s hard to NOT believe we are going to fall short in at least 2 of 3 competitions.

Fingers crossed this is just the Anfield Hoodoo once more and that we can come back from the intl break with some more endurance in our legs and fight in our hearts!
“The only thing in our favour at the moment is the sentiment that City always come good”

So not a 19 match unbeaten streak then, isn’t that in our favour ?

Or having the top goal scorer in the league banging goals in left right and centre.

Or having earned more points in the previous 10 games than either of our rivals.

Or having a perfectly managed squad approaching the business end of the season virtually injury free

It's flavour ffs

you are an imigrant to the US from Manc so spell in English at least not the backward septic shite :-)
I’m not sure if this will sound defensive given your smiley or simply factual, but…

1) If we are going to talk about how to spell, the word “immigrant” has a second “m,”

2) My keyboard is English (U.S.) otherwise my everyday communication would have constant spellcheck issues, and

3) I have absolutely no idea what “backward septic shite” is?!

Regardless, I will do my best not to provide offence in the future.

All good things, but we have not been convincing squeaking some of those victories, our top goal scorer didn’t look interested, the number of points isn’t important, unless it’s one more than any other team and I’m not sure if we are perfectly managed or not, but we look a bit ragged atm.

It’s not that we don’t get reported differently, it’s that what was said was true.

One man’s tsunami is another man’s fearless!
The point I was trying to and clearly didn’t make is the love in for Klopp and Liverpool and the way it is reported. It’s very different to the way Pep or any team members face questions in the pressers.

Watched about 5 mins of the Q&A’s after today and with the dippers it was about how good was their defence, what a future talent they have, what a loss Klopp will be.

Move on to JS interview and they were asking about how big was Ake’s mistake for the back pass?

Same match, same teams why thr difference?

I didn’t think the match was a classic today
Commentators were going on about how good it was
Yes it was tense but it lacked quality throughout I thought
Yep. It was poor from both teams. Lots of misplaced passes and rugby scrumming in the ctr of the circle.

Media and red fans love the rushing around like lunatics that Liverpool do.

Harks back to the days when they were kids. No cohesion. Due to the reds rabid animal approach a quality game of football couldn't break out. But, maybe, that's klopps point. Stop us playing our game a reduce it down to their level.

How that man gets the reputation he has is extraordinary. Real base level football tactics.

Oh, and swerve the back pages today, peeps. They are all focusing on Dokus kick in the penalty area, rather than the "quality" game. No mention of Mcallister not offering any challenge and just standing there, though.

I can't wait for klopp to be gone. He a fucking throwback to the 70s.
