Does Delaney seriously believe that the UAE Government would just allow Sheik Mansour to transfer billions of pounds from a UAE Government fund to support his own business Manchester City? Would the ruling family members in, for example Dubai, not be a bit miffed? Some of these hacks are totally deranged. Not even UEFA, the PL, or even the loons at Der Spiegl have ever claimed City are "state-owned." Yet this lie is repeated time and again by clowns like Gary Neville and Dan Roan. They can only be acting in bad faith.

I think the problem is that they see that things operate differently in the Middle East than they do in the West and then they assume that it must therefore be wrong, suspicious, deceitful.

You can see it every time they put pen to paper, and not only when considering the Middle East.

We can maybe excuse it as ignorance, but we shouldn't have to really.

He said that to me when I was on Twitter & I told him that explanation doesn’t work because we can only base it on legal ownership.

I then schooled him on how many global regime changes the Yanks have been responsible for & he’s afraid of criticising them. I said the US & UK have put the families in control so it’s faux outrage.
