Thanks PB. Funnily enough I did have a book on Meredith (could have been the one listed) many years ago but was probably too young and stupid (no comments) to appreciate it.

Surprise surprise. BBC headlines. “Liverpool and Man Utd among clubs using social media to help find missing children.”
Details show 86 clubs do this but they get special mention for some reason. Admittedly we do get a mention in the first line of the actual article.
Definitely smacks of a media agenda to me - it’s as plain as anything.

KirkhamBlue62. Why are you surprised. The two clubs who play in red at either end of the M62, will always get a mention over us. To the media these two clubs will always be their darlings. Plus Arsenal and Chelsea.

Even if we made a clean sweep of all the trophies available, both domestically and Europe plus the World Club Championship. These would just about be headlines in the sports news.

  7. Find missing children? The rags can’t find Pogba and he’s been hiding in their training ground for god knows long?

I always think that the media cover these two so much for more than just click bait.
Publicity and advertising cost a lot. That's why companies pay millions fot their names on shirts. I am convinced backhanders are passed for constant coverage. Easy when you have a dodgy bank as sponsors or accounts on the Caymans.
Might even be a way laundering dirty money. Who knows?

One of them does, but the one nearest the eastern end of that road are known as the Tigers, due to the colour of their kit.

I think you mean the East Lancs Road, the A580. Confusing, I know, but relevant.
