I thought they did at 6.35.
Right. We haven't got a ready-made replacement that brings 99% of what Aymeric brought to the team. Whoever goes in that slot won't measure up to what Laporte delivered. Ferny could do it but we need him somewhere else, Walker could do it but we need him speeding down the overlaps, David Silva could . . . . . , er, well, perhaps not David Silva. I reckon at a pinch if we need a decent CB then the Harwool-Bellis lad might just fit the bill!
Did you catch who wrote it?
He said "It shifts the title to Liverpool"
'you vile lot'
I need to start utilising that more frequently.......
I think I'd rule out either Silva. But as you say, we're a bit light there, and that makes a slight shift in odds. How much remains to be seen.
The Milner-booing thing from the Express is funny; I found another page (something called thesunbest, but with a logo different from the Sun) which was a page posted up at 8/40, with a blank for who Milner had replaced. It really had been pre-written for immediate use - the Express clearly are too incompetent to realise that, took the page down, but not the links.
The page today has this quote:
"If his injury is as bad as it looks, it shifts the title towards Anfield. It is that big."
Even if he did say "to Liverpool" (I don't know either way), it has shifted it, and it has to Liverpool - I think it's a bit picky to view that as all the way to Liverpool, rather than just a little bit of a shift.
The link is dead now. But clearly they carried it. Why did they do that? Amazing. Just outright lies.
see two posts above - it was clearly written ready.

I have no idea who thesunbest are, other than being an American site by the look of things.
