Aye but I think that was a reason they didn't go for the ESL. Barcelona were subject to a fan vote on the issue too. But tbh I don't know if they would have a way of circumventing the fan vote.

Nonetheless the German model seems to work and we seem to be copying that. I don't think any meaningful changes will be made in the end anyway.
Same team wins the league every year in Germany. So does it really work?

Could have been the relationship with Qatar too but I agree for something as big as that I doubt it would be legal to keep it quiet and go through with it without consulting the other 51%. The Barca case is puzzling, perhaps they just showed those fans how much financial trouble they were in without it.

I don't think he was talking about the competitiveness of the league, it's more about stopping decisions like the ESL being made behind the scenes(against the will of the fans) in the future. You're right though, with a 50+1 rule the competitiveness will probably go down if anything, looking at the Bundesliga, unless spending caps are put in place too. Which wont happen, so we should have neither. Just put some legislation in place I say.

The whole reason billionaires wanted into football in the first place and clubs readily accepted them, was the disparity in revenues between clubs in the big 3 and those outside of it. If there was no need for a billionaire to dream of competing, there'd be more fan owned clubs or at least fewer billionaire owners in PL. A big 3 became a big 6 and the old big 3 were saying "this isn't fair" and many blind sheep agreed with them. Despite all clubs benefiting from them being weekend by fresh competition. Because of this fresh competition, the league outgrew all the other European leagues, the revenues grew and the money was eventually distributed more evenly.

Leaving any decision to supports is mental. We cant even agree on who should play in the first 11.

Football fans are customers nothing more nothing less. The business owners use our loyalty against us.

It is a cutthroat nasty business in many ways.
We can’t even agree on muffin vs barm

I kid you not.

Jim Shite this Morning on Talk Shite.

'I think' Manchester City are playing in the Carabao Cup Final against Spurs.

Why would the owner of a limited company ever give 51% control to his customers? Especially after investing over £1.3 billion of his own money? Never gonna happen & im glad it won’t

How would fans be able to afford buying 51% of a billion pound company ? I struggle with the price of a ticket and travel
