It would send out a positive message if any club sacked a player for gross misconduct over something like this.
Sadly, there will always be another club that would be willing to employ them as players are assets with a monetary value as well as employees.

You forgot to mention that he's turned to shit. People on here keep saying he had a bad injury (agree) and he needs time (he's had too much now - it's getting to be a piss-take imo).He was partying till dawn during a busy Christmas schedule and breaching Covid rules when he was supposed to be in a secure bubble. He did this on New Year's Eve after he knew we had a Covid outbreak in the camp already affecting at least nine people. This shows total contempt for his colleagues and manager. It has disrupted our match preparations even more.
I wouldn't be surprised if other senior players demand he is booted out. Why should professional athletes be subject to this. The vast majority of our players (and staff) have been brilliant during this pandemic. They have supported our local community. Mendy is taking the piss out of the club and especially us fans.
