The Athletic - did anything promise so much and deliver so little?
I, along with many others who bought into the, we will be different than the rest of the media bullshit, all cancelled our subscription this summer.
now they’re offering it a £1 a month.. it’s just a Rag / Dipper fanzine

Sky at it again with there transfer fees , apparently we paid £37m for Torres when it was only a widely reported £23m Dias quoted at £65m which was £60m plus add ons , and finally Ake at £41m , they do not include Sane's transfer of £55m whicm makes our transfer spend for the last window £69m or £10m less than their beloved Dippers.
Good job we are not after the Dippers Net Spend Trophy , we might have to furlough some staff to win that.

Decent write up in the MEN about Barcelona’s financial troubles and City being done by FFP. Shows ffp up for the bullshit that it is. Punish city and turn a blind eye to Barcelona. Ridiculous and wholly corruptible. Surprised to see a fair balanced article in the rag top.

Amazingly we also got £13.5 million for Otamendi.

SSN gushing over 5 years of Klopp and his whirlwind of success, which consists of 1 Premier League trophy and 1 Champions League trophy

yet somehow Pep with his 2 league titles, 3 league cups and 1 FA cup, being the only manager to get 100 points and the only manager to win the domestic treble, is constantly under question

unbelievable

And the SSN wankfest continues.
The day they get rolled over by Amazon is the day we will need to pen a new version off "Were having party when Fergie/SSN dies"
wordsmiths please continue

Fcking bbc(who else)footy page, keeping up the hate in the absence of games(and probably deflecting from their red babies thrashings too), with the article headed, SORIANO DEFENDS MAN CITY SPENDING, The headline alone is enough to have our detractors drawing their swords in readyness, and the first paragraph of the "article" does not dissapoint, including the line, Soriano has defended the clubs decision to "SPEND OVER £120 MILLION ON NEW PLAYERS AT A TIME WHEN MANY LOWER-LEAGUE COUNTERPARTS ARE FACING A BLEAK FINANCIAL FUTURE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS"....fcking hell we are a horrible club. It aslo contains that sourpuss quote "DIAS FEE WOULD RUN LEAGUE TWO FOR A SEASON", christ!!! those with drawn swords should now be banging at he doors of the Etihad. It does mention net spend but includes no figures, just Soriano stating that we sold Sane for £49m and bought Torres for "£23m", hmmph, Sorianos words so bound to be less than the £30+m reported everywhere else, inc bbcs own unbiased "journalists". Now, for those who serously believe we are not singled out by the likes of the bbc,sky etc as examples of whats bad about football...... Why choose City AGAIN for this type of article when chelsea have spent a LOT more, and why not mention net spend figures in an article about spending, could it be that man u have a BIGGER net spend??, bloody hell!!, even ASTON VILLA, EVERTON AND LEEDS have a bigger net spend this summer. Even the most ardent deniers of media bias have to ask questions, it is relentless, and we are now the "go to" team to quote in articles concerning footballing negatives. It is like one of those medical conditions that creeps up on you over the years, slowly but surely undermining your health without you realising until its too late, and now that disease is fully manifested in 99% of media output tripe. Our owners are fantastic, and have done loads for the community etc,as well as making a success of City in the face of ongoing adversity. If you dont put this down to racism fuelled hatred, then one can only assume its because we have trodden on the toes of the medias "chosen" clubs and that a large majority of the footballing press are biased, arrogant ,jealous, lying twats......its as simple as that.

It's a twisted and distorted article trying to link Sorriano's general comments to earlier ones made by Carol Shanahan, Port Vale chief. It was produced by Simon Stone who has a track record of doing this sort of article. Sorriano was doing a Q and A which was nothing to do with the Shanahan story which came out last week.
