I've spoken to him a few times because of the podcast and he's a good bloke. CERTAINLY not a bullshitter. He gets things wrong sometimes but he's pretty willing to hold his hands up on it. I don't believe the fact that he's a United fan should really come into the discussion by anybody sensible.

His sources are the best around for City though, both officially and unofficially so I don't presume that he's going to go away any time soon. And I'm glad for that. Having a journo who is active on social media and talks to people normally rather than from on high like some "old school" red top journalists is good for City and good for City fans.

I'm not sure I've ever heard a bad word about him from anybody that regularly deals with him. It's an odd target to pick for hatred.

He's a complete arse and cock womble, and for me, he can fuck off on reporting on City, the two bob rag twat.

Now I may be a little over sensitive but why the fuck are Sky running a ticker tape headline highlighting Manchester City have won the FA youth cup for the first time in 12 YEARS!!
No need for that is there....

At least they mention it.

I expect BBC breakfast will have a section on Silly Sally being covered with St Marcus man milk.

ive said it before & I’ll say it again, he’s a snide xxxx! I’ll say it again in a few weeks when he says something snide again, the xxxx!

I’m pretty sure nearly everyone associated with City was very confident we’d win the appeal. I don’t recall Sam Lee saying otherwise. But if he did then I stand corrected. I’m sure I recall that he was as confident as the next man that we’d prevail.

well maybe you shouldn’t be defending him then, he never once wrote that possibly City could be innocent.

The inference is we’ve only managed to win it the one time in the last 12 yrs despite our resources

Is it true? Did you feel equally sympathetic last year when Liverpool won the title and the number of years since they last won it was regularly referenced?

That makes more sense. If he had a strike rate of 10 in 13, he would not have only taken 13 free kicks.
Yeah, the essence of the piece was that Ward-prowse is a good free-kick taker. He's scored 8, so they compared anyone with eight or more in the PL.

Toure never scored 8 in the PL so wasn't included. I think many would have the impression that he scored loads, but he didn't in th league.

Not unusual for a club to go 12 yrs without FA cup glory is it...
But it’s pretty unusual for a club of liverpool’s standing not to win a league in 30 years.

I’d have thought the difference is pretty obvious.

Not convinced he was always first choice for free kicks either during his period at the club. Pretty sure Tevez regularly took them also and latterly De Bruyne.

Still he could seriously strike a ball and on the biggest of occasions.
