The most we were ahead was 8 points
After a winning run of over ten games we’ve dropped 5 points in more recent times. Without the extra game played by us the gap would be 3 points…. 5 + 3 = …

if the dregs of humanity end up winning the league this season it sure as shit won’t be painted like that by their media wankstains though.

do you see as well especially from newcastle fans in social media, when articles are posted re the Saudis and their ownership, and then barcodes saying:

"why havent you mentioned City's finances in last 15 years at all?"
"why their UAE connection was never a problem in last decade"

i cannot get my head around it :D, like did they not read news in last 10 years of all the hacks bringing City's name into the mud as well as rival clubs and Uefa, ffp, cas, and the human right whatsapppgroup daily attacks?
Plus their very own YouTube deviant pissing and moaning about us for the last 5 years or so…

I dare say there's nothing better that the Whatsapp group would like than seeing us and the barcodes calling each other out.

We made almost as much in TV and prize money last year as Mansour paid for the entire club.
Likewise, the sales of shares to Silverlake and the Chinese investment group.
These cretins are still perpetrating dog whistle racist tropes from the 70s and 80s of spendthrift Arab playboys buying up half of Mayfair and blowing £100k in a single casino visit, rather than seeing them for what they really are - smart, multilingual, internationally educated and globally connected operators who know exactly what they are doing when it comes to business.
They have invested in an underperforming asset to significantly increase its value, before selling minority stakes to cover their initial investment.
Textbook business but yeah, it’s actually all about ‘sportswashing’
Our owners are operating on a totally different planet to these intellectual midgets who are simply projecting their own anger and biases, and believing what they want to be going on, rather than what actually is going on.
Doff my cap Longsight

Gaz Drinkwater is the guy on Talking Balls and really does talk balls about United, I remember when they signed Ronaldo he was on about how they ere going to win the Champions League and the Prem this season. He really is a Clown, fortunately Natalie Pike does a good job in standing up for City , some City callers this week have give him some stick for his biased opinions.
I actually stopped listening to that programme because of the nonsense that clown was allowed to get away with, in fact GMR, which I used to love with Beswick, Jimmy and Eamonn on a Sunday, and the football in general, has just gone to absolute shit in recent times, not listened to it since the Sunday morning lads finished.

And I love that!

I’ve relayed before that when I mention I’m from Manchester, it invariably gets the instant reply “Manchester United,” at which point I fake spit on the ground!

I tell them about City and how United are not even from Manchester and are only well known because of being a top team when the Premier League was invented for satellite TV sales to the world.

When I run into someone who says they support United, I always ask them if they’re from Manchester. When they say they’re from some far flung corner of the world, I simply say “Of course, because if you were from Manchester, you’d be a City supporter! United supporters are from everywhere EXCEPT Manchester because of TV!”

;-)

Spreading the gospel, one person at a time!

I also see more and more City shirts around the world, and make a point of it to say “Hi! I’m from Manchester and a City fan, too!” That’s how I found out Gordon Brown’s kid is a City fan! I was introduced to him and his bodyguard before a flight and I told him I was from Manchester. He wanted to know Blue or Red, and when I told him, he introduced his son (Alistair, IIRC) because he was a City fan!

Conversely, if I see a United shirt/top in the gate area, I go up to them (in uniform, of course) and tell them there are no United fans allowed on this flight and they need to cover up that top before boarding because it’s offensive to me….as a City fan!!! ;-)

I stay pretty serious until the end. Of course, then I ask them where they’re from and give them the “Of course you are, because if you were from Manc…” spiel!

:-)
I'm not convinced this 'Manchester = united' when speaking to people overseas is true at all.

It's more of a generational thing in my experience.

I was born and raised in Manchester, but have been lucky enough to find a career that has allowed me to live and work around the World. Anytime I've chatted about where I'm from and mention Manchester, the first question tends to be "City or united?". Certainly with people 30 or under.

Mrs Munson is American, and we live on the East coast. All of her nieces and nephews and their friends (all in their late teens/early 20's) know as much about City, if not more, than united.

I work for a major network's streaming platform over here. I get paid to study trends, views, etc. and subsequently advise on content production. I know for a fact that the Manchester = united tide has shifted 'massively' over the last few years and will continue to do so.

Hope their non success continues for the geordies. Many of their fans spent many hours slagging our club and owners off on social media before their takeover, their attitudes changed a bit now though. The ultimate Hypocrites.

Mehh. It's just what fans do. Didn't bother me when they did what they did, doesn't bother me when they now do what they do. Journalists, or club management, on the other hand ....
