Even close friends won’t talk to me about football because I supported City since 1962, when I was 7, and my grandad took me to Maine Road. They want to believe all the crap, never want to think it might be untrue. Journalists earn their living by finding stories, it doesn’t matter to them if they are true or false, they are covered by their employers, in case they get sued. We will eventually know if City‘s owners were innocent or not, but I am a fan of the team, end of story. We do need a few Champions League trophies though, and I wonder about that curse planted under the pitch at Maine Road.
