The team was knackered from Atletico away, he had to change it. Liverpool was able to rest over half their team against Benfica.

we did but had to be fit for Brighton on Tuesday, that was the game that was prioritised.

Indeed, its easy in hindsight but I suppose we will never know if we could have tweaked things and still won both. I would have been more confident of the team picked in the semi against Liverpool overcoming Brighton at home. Two years on the trot now we have done this in a semi-final
