Thing is. It’s aimed at the fans not the club.

imo the media are walking a fine line with this shit, attacking the fans of a club they don’t like in a sly and underhanded way.

Why is that walking a fine line? City fans might talk Billy big bollocks, but the whorish scribblers can write what they like about us and it's all good, there's no backlash. A negative piece about City plays well with the rags, dippers, arse and chavs, nobody else matters, least of all us.

As for the club, there's much talk in here about City banning journalists, or cutting back on the lavish freebies, that would achieve absolutely nothing.

What we've learned from our softly, softly approach with UEFA and the Premier League is it doesn't work, we have no soft power. If we're serious about stemming this stream of anti-City bullshit we're going to have to start issuing writs and mean it, otherwise this shit show will just keep rolling on.

The only football team to come from Manchester!
This empty seat narrative the media keep banging on about when it comes to our attendances is farcical.

If you look at the media darlings the rags, dippers, spuds and the tarquins, all of them post decent attendances but all are massively propped up with day trippers and sightseers..

The ash cloud and Roy's tenure at the dippers proved that as it stripped away the plastics and low and behold their attendance for the affected games levelled out at around 38K.

The bomb scare at the swamp which forced the cancellation of the rags game v Bournemouth, when rearranged they couldn't muster 40K..

London is full of people who will buy tickets for Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham and Chelsea..

Arsenal's poor run of foam over the last several seasons has reflected in 1000's of empty seats at the Emirates as fairweather fans will just not bother showing up.

Absolutely nothing wrong with our support and our PL attendances are right up there.

You can't issue writs for innuendo.

It’s a fine line because the fans are more likely to take direct action where the club don’t/won’t. These muppets have to sit at the ground surrounded by fans, they take their kids to the same schools and live in the same streets. Much more likely to be called out on their bullshit by fans directly is what I meant.

Agree with you about the clubs approach. They need to step up now but they’ve said absolutely nothing...so I don’t expect they will.

That's true, we'd have to pick our cases carefully, but there's enough out there, we only need a couple to scare the living daylights out of them.

I'm no expert, but the consistent reputational damage we've suffered from the likes of Simon Jordan might be worth a specious letter from our lawyers, just to let him know we're on the case.

We have to change the narrative, we've tried the carrot now it's time for the stick.

Yesterday against Southampton.

1 more point.

City fans also bought over a 1000 away tickets in the South Stand 3rd tier returned by Southampton.
