Some more information. The Athletic published an article a few days ago about time-wasting, with a specific focus on time-wasting by goalkeepers. The table below shows goalkeeper bookings for time-wasting since 2013/14;

Foster (Ben) 8
Martinez 8
Pickford 8
Guaita 7
Pope 7
Ederson 7
McCarthy 6
Boruc 5
Adrian 5
Henderson 5

All the goalkeepers above, with the exception of Ederson were playing for teams involved in relegation battles.

A further observation from the article was that two forwards have been booked 4 times for time-wasting in the same period…Raul Jimenez and our own Sergio Aguero.


It is difficult not to conclude that there is a distinctly lower bar when it comes to booking City players for this offence!

I bet the Athletic avoided drawing that simple conclusion

The llama wouldn't get booked for timewasting for 2 reasons:

1. He plays for United.
2. The officials will give the appropriate amount of injury time to allow them to get the desired result so timewasting becomes less relevant

I used to listen to Talksport. A sports radio station covering football when City are the best team in the country. What could be better.

Sadly it dawned on me that any characters they had on like Brazil, Parry who whilst not perfect they were entertaining were being phased out.

Only to replaced largely by a bunch of boring red loving groupies chasing the listening figures. All the time trying to disguise their favouritism with bogus arguments. And ending up with a useless ex owner of a football club talking in clipped tones as their prized intellect.

Give Talksport a miss. Your not missing anything. If you want to hear what the reds think talk to family or friends who support them.
