Medical cannabis in UK.

Last site I saw on dark Web was a thing of beauty. Loads of products listed, priced, descriptions and info. Prices were OK. Dunno if still going but I'll ask the guy that showed it me
They used to all be like that one. The last one I used did what they call an “exit scam” earlier this year. They all do that eventually. Build up to a massive level then shut down suddenly and steal all the money that’s currently in escrow.

i know 2 people who have gone through the process in england,
both bi-polar.

it's quite a lengthy thing,
but it means they can never be prosecuted for possession,
which obviously has its advantages,
especially if you drive (or deal) for a living
or simply work somewhere where testing happens.

the reality is it is way more expensive than just buying it from your man.

just move to morrocco :)
So, in your opinion, I'm best off sticking with the dealer around the corner?

it depends on your financial situation first and foremost,
because if you go through the official process you will be paying a lot more than you are now.

if money isn't an issue for you, what's to lose, you might ask?
well, from what my pals have told me...

you will need to be able to prove your need for it medically.
this of course will involve regular consultations with a doctor.
the doctor will eventually decide if you qualify.
that in itself may have future consequences whether you are successful or not.
if you are admitting to being a user it may invalidate certain insurance policies.

if you are successful, you will then be constantly assessed.
you will continue to see the doctor.
it will depend entirely on the attitude of the doctor.
you may feel like a child at school having to justify yourself,
or everything might be cool as fuck.
but it will all be on record.

the plus side to it is you will be able to choose the strength of the weed you are prescribed.
you can ask for more thc content and will be given it no problem
(and presumably the opposite if you feel you need less).
this is something you have no control over with a street dealer.

another thing to consider is quality.
it is becoming more common in the uk for illegal growers to cut corners in order to maximise their output/profits.
this involves using massive amounts of chemical fertilizer to hurry up the growth.
in itself, that shouldn't be an issue if the grower then flushes out the plant for a couple of weeks with pure water to remove the chemicals.
the problem is you have no way of knowing what has happened.
you are at the mercy of the grower and dealer.
if you know them personally on a friendly basis then fine.
if you only know them to buy from then it can be an issue.
basically, you could be smoking chemicals as well as herb.
the chemicals are poisonous & bad for your mental health.
(quite the reverse of the reason you require it in the first place).

if your dealer can guarantee the plants have been properly flushed out,
or if you are fortunate enough to know an organic grower,
of which sadly there aren't many still around because naturally their prices are higher to reflect the longer growing period,
then there's no worries at all.

the one thing you can be certain of with medically issued cannabis is the quality.
the plants will have been looked after according to very strict standards.
the weed with be top notch and do the job you want it for.

i'm not sure if that's of any help but it's all i know, pal.

edit:
one other thing i recall them saying is the times of appointments.
i've no idea if this is common,
but both of them only saw their doctors in the early evening.
presumably because they do their normal gp hours during the day then are doing the weed stuff later as overtime.
i don't know, but the appointment timings might be another thing to consider.

Pretty much said a couple of plants growing at home will be overlooked for those with medical need a few years ago.
a few years ago a bloke who lived near my mum got sent to prison.
he only had 6 plants, just for percy for his illness.
the coppers weren't remotely arsed about the plants,
it wasn't included in his charge.
he got sent down because he tapped into the streetlight outside his house with an extension lead to power the lights.
within weeks the leccy people were on the street wondering where the sudden increase in output was.
think he got 18 months.

I would like to think the dibble would not be bothered to arrest a disabled person in a wheelchair with a couple of ounces of weed. But common sense tells me otherwise. They would probably parade it all over their social media platforms as a coup

Yes:-)
More to the point. If you are the able bodied one and go out to buy it for your wife...... my point is, it should be a simple cheap process. It should not be costing you a lot of money and it should not be complicated

This is great help, mate. I've already been accepted as eligible by Sapphire Clinics last year...i backed out when it came to the fee. My doc and THEIR doc already know I need the weed as it's now known to help with my long COVID symptoms. It's making me skint, though.
I'm on PIP full rate now for my LC too. I was already on ESA. I'm going to keep looking into it until i get as far as i can. Hopefully that's with medical weed :)

I wonder how much money they would lose if they had to pay for the leccy they were using for a grow. My local dealers profits just pay for his own smoke. I trust him, but he's not the grower/provider.
