Messages stuck in Outbox

I have three messages stuck in my outbox, including one I sent ages ago.

How can I make sure they send? And why are they staying in the outbox?

I asked the same question pal, 1st answer is the right one.

The message is sent, it doesn't go out of your outbox until it's been read.

I sent a message to goat boy on June 18th and he's still not read it, either he's on a cracking holiday or he's dead

are you using Microsoft outlook or webmail?
do these emails have large attachments?
most mail servers have a maximum file size of around 5mb although some allow larger.
also check your outgoing server address (smtp) is correct

never heard of mail staying in mailbox till they are read at the other end

think you will find that is bolox

He means pm's on here not emails. They stay in your Outbox until the recipient opens them.

Ive been IT tech for 20 years and when I see the word outbox I just think of outlook, old habits and all that.
