Micah Richards prank to city staff.

Mischievous defender lays it on thick and claims his hamstring's gone after slipping while play-acting moves for a TV

Here, the Manchester City and England defender fools the Eastlands club's PR staff into believing he has been injured while working with them on a TV ad.

After slipping while performing some turn-and-run type of move in rehearsal, Richards is put up to the stunt by a worker from the club's online TV channel CityTV and gleefully agrees.

Frowning, he hobbles into an office and ruefully informs City marketing manager Jane Farquhar and photographer Sharon Latham that he suspects the slip has knacked his hamstring.

The two women gasp and stare in horror at the news, while Richards keeps a straight face.

He even gestures moodily for the cameras to be turned off, which he think is a particularly convincing touch...

...but then he cracks and teases them for falling for his fibs, joking that they feared they were both going to get the sack.

I really liked it, made me smile. I'm sure there'll be some miserable gits on here though that say he should concentrate on playing football rather than having a laugh. Can't be having anyone with a personality in this team.

He's always messing about with happy as well Micah, very funny, noticed kolarov plays a lot of pranks as well (e.g tapping the mayor on the shoulder)
 
Just pretend to be an international centre half and brilliant player for us again That's all we want. We've started to accept him for being a one club man with an infectious laugh. Score a goal again like you did v Villa , Everton, and Reading. Just be a footballer Micah. Just do your job. The one the club pays you to do. Don't join the circus with the wanna bees and hangers on. Your a legend. Please remember why you are.

when he slipped at the start i was thinking "surprised he's not injured there" haha

Getting attention for wrong reasons. I'm no bah humbug but this is no behaviour for a young man we used to talk about how good he was at football. Chappy is a one off and also a kit man. Micah is our centre half turned right back and our powerhouse. He is losing football credibility with all this nonsense and most annoyingly giving unnecessary attention to employees who should just be seen behind a camera and never infront of it.
