Micah Richards the pundit

Yea Micah give it a fucking rest about Phil. Pep knows what he is doing. Why is Micah saying this crap, Phil as at the best club in the world with the best facilities and best manager.
Micah you are beginning to sound like an old bitter hack. Why are you help the media in stirring the shit regarding City and Phil ?

I like Micah but this banging on about Phil is getting embarrassing even Souness said you have to trust the manager.
He can’t be overly pro City, he knows this, not only because Sky are biased against us but you shouldn’t be that far up your clubs arse.

He’s decided this is the negative he’ll hang his hat on to make him seem more impartial but it’s a bit exaggerated, the issue and he’s like a stuck record with it.

Every other fucking pundit is pro their old club

Micah played aplenty when he was young, turned out he had no strength, party over at 28...he'd do well with a numb audience.

Can it not just be his opinion? It does not mean he is biased, selling out to Sky, just that he might see things differently, in some instances, to how you see it.

Micah clearly thinks Phil Foden should play more often, as do many City fans. Its not surprising based on our struggle for goals and he is one of our most creative players.

Entirely predictable on here sadly and shows how paranoid some are when we are questioning Micahs integrity now.

Micah struggles to say something different and keeps reverting back to foden, and then it becomes embarrassing.

As if bitching about the present squad isn’t enough, there are folk who try to pick on Micha s punditry too .
Maybe, just maybe , the boy is picking his moments and once he’s fully ingratiated in Murdoch’s Empire , he can go full on Citeh .
I mean, I recall my first day at work where I told the CEO how it was going to be from now on .

Basically we have a fan of the club in the media saying stuff no different than on here and it seems to be a problem

All this talk about Phil rarely getting a game is exaggerated.

He's only 20 years old and has played nearly 100 times for us now, in all competitions. He's won 6 domestic trophies (not counting the Community Shields), scored 21 goals, and has broken into the England team. He's the youngest ever winner of the Premier League, I think ?

I really don't think we're holding him back / ruining his career.

I don’t overly mind him saying what he did about Foden and you’re right, it’s an opinion that plenty on here have too after all.

Personally I struggle watching him as a pundit because I just don’t think he’s a good one

He must be coming to the end temporarily contract and due a full time contract with sky so just showing how easy it is to talk negatively about city.

Nothing wrong with that mate. I would not say he is my perfect cup of tea either. Its the inevitability of people questioning his integrity already, rather than accepting he might just see things differently.

For years people have bemoaned our lack of representation and unsurprisingly as soon as we get some, it is suggested he is following the sky party line, where most neutrals would consider Micah very pro-City.

They pretend to be a fan of one of the clubs they played for, generally the one with the highest turnover, and it is all a bit fake.

A bit like Goater now a super fan, but couldn't name the city players a few years back.

I don't think it's a biased opinion and feel he genuinely means it.
But Sky over pushed it today and Foden even asked about it during his post match interview which he handled very well.

I wish they'd do the research though. Apart from the 1st week when we were short of fit players he consistently starts 1 game a week and never 2. Week after week after week,

This is the 16th week of the season for City.

Foden minutes played by week for the 1st 14:

1. 90+90 -2 starts
2. 63 1 start
3. 90 - 1 start
4. 0 - International break
5. 88+23 - 1 start 1 sub
6. 45+90 - 1 start 1 sub
7. 10+68 - 1 start 1 sub
8. 29 - 1 sub International
9. 90 - 1 start International
10. 19+90 - 1 start 1 sub
11. 24+90 - 1 start 1 sub
12. 90 - 1 start
13. 75 - 1 start
14. 90 - 1 start
15. 01 - 1 sub (and would have started Everton if not postponed)
16. 86 - 1 start

It's almost as if there was a cunning plan or something... you know, Phil is great but not as physically developed as many other young players, so we'll find the optimum way to integrate and develop him....and start him just 1 game a week

Think he’s absolutely shite as a pundit but don’t see the big deal about him saying Phil should play more.

Phil is getting a 1st class intro into the demands of top class football. If Micah knew anything he would look into his own career where he got quite a bit of playing time when he was younger, then git injured and his career was fucked. So do me a favour with all this bollocks of Fodrn should start every game. We have built and will always build a squad to compete in every comp. P95% of pundits know fuck all about Phil's stats and ate only shit stirring.
