Micah Richards

I think he's well on his way to regaining his England place. He's a far better defender than Johnson.

What annoys me though, that not only is Johnson ahead of Micah for the England right back spot, but also Kyle Walker and Phil Jagielka.

None of the above come close to Richards on current form but I suppose we must all follow the media hype.
I'm delighted at that. I don't want any of our players playing for their countries and coming back to us either injured or tired.

Yep, he can get injured in the U21 instead.
Not sure if that is a reply to my previous post. If it is, you may note that I didn't specify any particular representative level. I don't want any of our players playing for their countries, AT ANY LEVEL.

But 'delight' at him being 4th choice for the full team is negated if he then plays u21s.

Micah has progressed well in the last 6 months.

Before Xmas this year he will reach a milestone of 200 games in a Sky Blue Shirt and is only just 23.

Without injury he would be near 250 games.

I see no reason why Micah can't play right back for us for another ten years.

Was only a friendly last night but it was an exceptional performance form Micah. Used really good skill to get out of tight situations on his line and was skinning their players for fun. They were also struggling to cope with his powerful forward runs, fingers crossed this could be a big season for him.

The snide digs at him previously seen on here slating him for being a bodybuilder and not a footballer, or that he 'should stick to dj'ing' seem a distant thing of the past.

Funnily enough i mentioned this to someone last night. He is going to have his best season ever this year me thinks (i even added the bit about them being shit).

He just looks so much more comfortable and confident as a person these days. He never lost his talent, just probably just his way a little, at an age when most of us do and without the fecking big bank balance and adoration to boot
