Micah's scintillating strike

He 'marred' an excellent display , and a superb goal , by leaving his position wide open for Stoke to equalise .........

he'll be as disappointed as anybody tonite.

my theory is that he switched for balotelli when no one was looking in the buildup... separated at birth those two

Scoring a good goal like that doesn't take away the fact that he has been poor lately.

I thought it was a brilliant finish. Sold the defender well and picked his spot. But to seriously think that 5 seconds proves his detractors wrong is short sighted.

If Jo scores a wonder goal. Great. But he will still be the poorest striker I've seen.

AJ should have tracked back to cover Etherington!
Thats a minimal requirement when the match is almost over.

Maybe he should ...

but he wouldn't have had to if Richards hadn't of deserted his post at that vital stage of the game , he wasn't watching play ...... the equalising shot came in from a position that Richards really ought to have been covering.

When he scored I thought it was Balo(I was streaming, and poorly).

They really could be brothers its almost scary.

What a brilliant goal by Richards!

Aye, quality goal.

Made me laugh that someone, a few minutes before after De Jong clipped that ball over (to Micah), said something like "if that had fallen to anyone but Micah we'd have scored" :P

Thanks for the goal (point) Micah lad, would'nt call the strike scintillating (along the deck just off centre). He needs to keep moving , with a bit more confidence.. there were half a dozen times today where he could have made the fullback avit (Kolarov pressed), he stood still and putted the ball backwards. Still mauling with his hands when an opponents going nowhere (a numb wicket).
