Microsoft office ultimate 2007 queiry

I notice when im doing stuff on "Word", during the saving prosses it tends to freeze and shut down, then restore its self with the work i was doing saved in a section to the left of the document screen. I am filling in lots of forms (reports) so have multi documents on the go, Is the program/pc overloaded with stuff, or is my computer a bag of bollox?
