Eccles of course! Just Eccles!!
I walked away from my computer to brew up and came back to find that Microsoft Outlook was downloading 2,644 messages!! All of which I have received before. I closed down and restarted but they are still downloading..... Obviously I won't be able to stop them now and will just have to sit at my laptop watching TV and pressing the down arrow and delete but is there any way I can prevent this happening again please?

It did happen once before about 12 months ago so this time I am trying to prepare for if it happens again!!!

Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Allow them to download into your inbox...when completed 'right click' on the inbox and select delete messages ....that should get rid of everything in it/

Close outlook. Go to your mail provider web site - yahoo mail for example. You probably have 2,644 mails there in your inbox. Select them all and delete and then empty your trash folder. Then open outlook and should be ok.
