Interesting that the BBC has this as their headline as fact, but then says in the text that their only source is the word of an Israeli general. Reuters claim that there were dead Hamas militants and 'Israeli residents.' I'm not saying he's necessarily lying, but you'd think professional BBC journalists would know better than the basically reprint the claims of a single man without corroborating them first. Or at least use quotation marks.

The BBC has a BBC Verify banner for when they've verified something... They're going to be busy. And Mark Urban on Newsnight saying they can't verify it.

Your last bullet is a bit of a rewrite of history. In 1948 every surrounding country attacked Israel causing the refugee crisis. You missed that bit out.

Have you not read the BBC report, it details beheadings although the reporter wisely didn't ask from the body to be uncovered. I don't think a combat soldier would be lying though.

The edit didn’t change much. The fact that the surrounding countries attacked Israel and lost the war is a bit more pertinent than saying some people were emboldened.

100% it does , it's all fking terrible, innocent Palestinians will die with the response but none with be purposely and brutalised the way Hammas have acted . But no doubt we will get flooded with all sorts of condemnation about the response

It’s a long way for them to go, and it’s a huge well armed country, which has close relationships with Russia I doubt the Americans would allow it to happen

You can spot the Russian hand in all of this, it’s a wonderful distraction for them, and buts the west in a bind, when the bodies start to pile up, they will increase their power and influence in the Middle East especially in the Sahel region

Haven't the Israeli air force hit targets in Iran before? I'm sure they have, I was thinking something along those lines might be Israel's response to Iranian funding and training of hamas?
