You can ask the same question of the Palestinians. Should they do nothing?Would you have the isralis do nothing after last weekend?
You can ask the same question of the Palestinians. Should they do nothing?Would you have the isralis do nothing after last weekend?
And the hostage situation? Any suggestions on that? They should find the people responsible for last weeks attack and punish them. They should certainly not kill innocent people as that’ll ensure this cycle of seeking revenge keeps going.
To say it’s impossible to find people responsible for the attacks last week amongst civilians is taking the easy route to satisfy their revenge wish.
You can ask the same question of the Palestinians. Should they do nothing?
Rape dungeons! Are you insane? The attack from Hamas was specifically targeted and carried out to slaughter civilians. It's not the same.
Israel are going into Gaza as retaliation for the above and Ill take a guess that the IDF won't be stealing old women and teenagers to take them back to rape dungeons in Israel.
Wait until we discover life outside our galaxy. We’ll have some revisionism not from science, but interpretations of the Torah, The Koran and The Bible et al.I've read the bits of debate on religion, atheism etc and my experience is this. I was brought up a Catholic, taught I'd go to hell if not good, went to church and then lapsed. My current position is probably 60/40 on there being no God. As others have said regardless of what you believe there is no conclusive proof. I watched a TV debate a few years ago where a scientist, when asked 'what was before the big bang' answered that some in the scientific community believe that 'something can come out of nothing' which is not far from 'there has always been a God'. Anyway I digress, my main point is that if you do not believe in God then you do not believe in human exceptionality. i.e if we were not put here by God then we are in no way different to any other life form on the planet (except to ourselves). Now that may not sound very important but it does mean that perhaps the life of an elephant, lion, tiger etc does have equal value to a human life. Certainly pet owners mourn the loss of their pet much, much, much more than the death of the 150,000 humans who die each day.
Have you seen the number of people kidnapped who were women? Multiple teenagers, but I'm sure they are in a grade accomodation.Rape dungeons! Are you insane?
Israelis have targeted civilians since 1948 and before. Why do you think so many Palestinians ran away.
Just like City didn't start in 2008, this conflict didn't start last week
Not a lot of evidence of the rape claims so far.The attack from Hamas was specifically targeted and carried out to slaughter civilians. It's not the same. They literally drove into farming communities, shot them at point blank range and a festival FFS. How is that justified?
Israel are going into Gaza as retaliation for the above and Ill take a guess that the IDF won't be stealing old women and teenagers to take them back to rape dungeons in Israel.
Not at all -but your Hamas foot soldier involved in this episode is determined to wipe Israel off the Map in line with the anti Jewish teaching going on in Gaza over the yearsHe probably doesn’t. But ask yourself, would you be asking the same question if it was one of Hamas members saying the same thing? No you wouldn’t, you would associate a single view with the whole of Hamas.
They could go the diplomatic route through US/Qatar to get the hostages released. But no, that would make Israel or their government look weak. So they would rather kill tens of thousands of civilians, force a million people people to forgo their homes in 24 hours to look strong. And the hostage situation? Any suggestions on that?

I'm not saying it's not happened, of course. But people were very quick to share numerous unverified claims during the attack. Beheaded children, widespread rape, etc, all without evidence. The one I saw was the woman who had apparently been raped because she had blood on her pants, which to me was a much evidence that she'd sat down in a pool of blood as anything else. Not that it makes it much better, of course. Still a hideous attack on innocent people.
I don't want to give them the benefit of the doubt, because I'm almost certain that someone has suffered rape in this whole mess, but there are other reasons that they would deliberately target women and children. Firstly, they're easier to overpower and control. And secondly, they act as stronger collateral. People have a stronger emotional reaction to missing women and children than they do men. So hopefully, that's the reason. But as I say, it's hard to give the benefit of the doubt to a bunch of terrorist cunts.Have you seen the number of people kidnapped who were women? Multiple teenagers, but I'm sure they are in a grade accomodation.
Reports of a hostage - prisoner swap proposition floating about. Hope something comes of it quickly. They could go the diplomatic route through US/Qatar to get the hostages released. But no, that would make Israel or their government look weak. So they would rather kill tens of thousands of civilians, force a million people people to forgo their homes in 24 hours to look strong.
I do not condone what Hamas did, no innocent life should be lost. But what Israel are doing is far worse already.
What would you expect to be different if they were being kidnapped for reasons other than rape? A nice air-conditioned bus?Come on? Kidnapped women and literal videos of them being taken on bikes full of blokes back into Gaza?
I'm not saying it hasn't happened, just that there isn't yet any evidence that it has. And that's according to the IDF themselves. The claims of 'rape dungeons' are entirely of your own making. It might even be true, but at least admit that you're just guessing at this point. If people want to convince themselves that "it hasn't happened because I haven't seen videos of it" then food luck to you. I'm sure if some of the hostages get released they can tell us anyway.
Presumably Hamas supporters will be doing everything they can to blend in with the crowds.
“Your Hamas foot soldier” I hope that is said as a figure of speech. Not at all -but your Hamas foot soldier involved in this episode is determined to wipe Israel off the Map in line with the anti Jewish teaching going on in Gaza over the years
Just like you don’t choose your blood relatives, You don’t choose your neighbour. If your neighbour committed a murder, you wouldn’t just accept to become collateral damage. Its exactly what the terrorist cowards do.
Happy in the knowledge that innocent civilians, often not allowed to get away from them for fear of their lives will end up as collateral damage which they then use as part of their PR war on Israel.
It is doable if that's your aim, using guerrilla tactics. The Vietnamese managed it for decades against France and then the USA. Unfortunately, Hamas seem to have the same attitude to Palestinian citizens that Israel do, and have little issue hiding within them hoping that Israel will magically start to give a shit about civilian casualties. We're constantly told that Hamas want to wipe Israel off the map. But I don't think the Israeli leadership think too differently. They are playing a long game.
As for tactics, I'd like to know how the Palestinians are supposed to fight a stronger army who possess overwhelming military hardware.
