It's an Arab playground and Israel are playing a dangerous game because the US, whilst a quasi-ally on paper, won't dream of sending forces should the rest of the Arab world be antagonized to the point of retaliation. If Gaza is "cleansed", as Bibi and the rest of his fascists want, Israel would have made negligible gains and more enemies in the process.

For the people suffering, I agree. But for the people in power, war is a geopolitical game. They'll strategise and claim pieces when they see fit. As of now, there's little value in the West taking any pieces.

I would love nothing more than to see someone put bullets in the heads of Bibi and Herzog and end this tragedy, but that isn't going to happen.
