I’d say that KdB, Jack G , Phil F ,Errlng H , Alvarez and a host of others including Pep himself would have nothing but praise for that Lad , I still can’t believe that’s should be one iota of negativity toward that goal , it looked intentional and well executed to me , also I like to add , that earlier I received a PM off young Nico in response to my mention of his achievement, so not only is he he a very good and gifted Footballer he is also a very very nice young Man responding to an Avid Old City Fan !!What I'm saying is, there's loads of athleticism involved, which is impressive, but in terms of footballing ability, it is the equivalent of swinging your weaker foot at a ball and hoping it goes towards the general direction of the goal.
Like when Danny Mills scored that screamer against Everton. A great goal but a huge element of luck in that he just smashed it toward the general direction of the goal and didn't have a clue whether it was going to go straight at the keeper, towards the bottom right corner or the top left.
Whereas Haaland's goal yesterday was an absolutely intentional act, also of the highest athleticism, but with the clear intention to place it exactly where it went.
Both great athleticism though.
As John McEnroe once quoted " You cannot be serious"What I'm saying is, there's loads of athleticism involved, which is impressive, but in terms of footballing ability, it is the equivalent of swinging your weaker foot at a ball and hoping it goes towards the general direction of the goal.

In other words: Meh, studded it.'Scorpion kicks' are very eye catching and there are only certain players that could contort themselves into that position quickly enough to make contact. But the degree of luck that they require is so high that I don't find them anywhere near as impressive as other types of skillful, more deliberate and placed goals. That includes Haalands bicycle kick yesterday which was far more deliberate and wasn't, in any way, chancing it might go vaguely towards the goal. He knew exactly what he was doing and precisely where it was going to go and how he was going to connect.
Don't start me on 'ribonas' either - an admission that you can't use your weaker foot.
didnt i see that Nico's dad posts on here a while back, or someone who knows himI’d say that KdB, Jack G , Phil F ,Errlng H , Alvarez and a host of others including Pep himself would have nothing but praise for that Lad , I still can’t believe that’s should be one iota of negativity toward that goal , it looked intentional and well executed to me , also I like to add , that earlier I received a PM off young Nico in response to my mention of his achievement, so not only is he he a very good and gifted Footballer he is also a very very nice young Man responding to an Avid Old City Fan !!
