Might be in the North West this Summer. Any tips as to hotels and things to see etc.

There's quite a bit to do in Manchester mate. Nice record shops and pubs in the Northern Quarter, nights out in Deansgate/Northern Quarter/Canal Street. Football Museum, National War Museum, look at the deer in Dunham Massey gardens.

Liverpool only a short drive/train away for good nights out as well.

You really can't go wrong even just having a walk around the canals or Picadilly gardens.

Cheers Phil, what about restaurants? Any worth a visit?

You must visit Wythenshawe it's simply delightful

I will. I'm looking to up my 1500m sprinting best time so getting chased through it will help me no end.

I have experience of similar environments up here so will recognise the signs of suspicion, agitation and the need to ask if I'm alright preceding a request for a small loan or to borrow my watch.

That's the norm up here anyway.
