Legend is an over used word but he was and in my view should be recognised in his own right. Malcolm was and I think Neil Young too.

City's most decorated player, ever. There was a lot of sentimental stuff for Allison and Young last season. But Mike Doyle didn't even get a mention in Monday night!

yeah, what a joke.. can't believe no-one organised anything,
i wasn't even old enough to see him but he's probably my
favorite ever player. he shared the same views as us, because
he was one of us.
his wife and family attended mondays game as guests of the club and were expecting a tribute to be made to Mike. i spoke to his daughter tuesday evening and she told me they were upset that no mention of mike was made.
lots of former players there told her that they were surprised nothing had been arranged. i explained about remembering people who have died at a christmas fixture, but after the tributes to Neil and Malcolm i thought that there should have been something arranged for Mike at this fixture.
