Mike Peters - The Alarm RIP

RIP Mike Peters.

The Alarm's 1989 album, Change, was a favourite of mine at the time although I can't seem to convince the good people of the music threads that they were any good.

This is sad.

Saw The Alarm in concert way back at the Hammy Odeon; it was a good gig.

Didn't know he was ill. Taken too young.

R.I.P.
RIP Mike, a genuinely good guy who did a lot for charities and causes he believed in. Remember the story of a young pre fame Alex Jones working for BBC Wales mistaking him as Mike Peters who had come to fix the alarm.

Sad sad news ...no ego with mike and always came across as such a nice guy with an outstanding musical talent

Read an article earlier today from Billy Duffy of the cult who seemed to have a very very good friendship with him and seems genuinely heartbroken at the news

Take the words of the song you wrote ...ITS A NEW CHAPTER IN THE BOOK OF MY LIFE...A NEW CHAPTER IN A DIFFERENT KEY

R.I.P MR MIKE PETERS

Saw him just once supporting the Stranglers a few years ago at the Apollo a terrific set which made me regret not seeing him more.
RIP Mike.

I saw them ( well one of the times I saw them ) at the Apollo on the Strength Tour in December and Mike just led the band into Merry Christmas for an impromptu sing a long - that was him - no airs no graces just a front man who wanted an audience to leave having been entertained.
