Mike Summerbee on Talksport

Many, many years ago, a kid I knew who was a Wolves fan said that he'd seen Summerbee, out on the touchline, stop everything, put his foot on the ball, then kneel down and do up his bootlace which had come loose, calm as fuck. The full back who was on him was so mesmerised that he didn't move. Then Summerbee got back up, and beat him.
That was what Mike Summerbee was about. A great player. An admirable man who talks a lot of sense. The choice of him as club ambassador is just one of the many little signs that our club is well run. We revere our past but, like Buzzer, we look to the future.
Wish I could hear this, but I can't, since I don't live in the UK.

Won't get chance to listen tonight but I will catch up with in on-line tomorrow.

Looking forward to it, Bell, Lee and Buzzer were my hero's as a kid.
