Obviously dont want this to get lost in the Mal RIP thread, but from the character that has been portrayed to me over the years of this legend, its sounds like a minutes applause would be more fitting to the big guy rather than a morbid silence.

What do others think? Applause or Silence?

The man deserves both.

One minute of silence followed by applause.

If I had a Fedora I'd be wearing it at the next game...

What a shame he won't be around when we win something.

Applause will probably happen although there's nothing wrong with a minute's silence in my book.

I think the Minute's Applause was brought in when there was fear that the silence wouldn't be observed (can't really tell if a few hundred people aren't clapping, if everyone else is) - don't think that would be an issue in this case?

Think, if done properly, a Minutes Silence can be moving and respectful rather than morbid?

for me a minutes silence is the most respectful way of remembering this great man.

As well as turning up in sheepskin coats, fedoras and giant cigars.

:)
