Missing City fan Brian Slater from Middleton

I can still picture him and Daffy walking down Warwick Rd with paper sky blue party hats on not giving a fuck and swatting rags away like the irritating bugs rags are

Lol - what a great image.

Best wishes to Blue Underpants and all those that are feeling the loss of a friend and someone who was clearly a part of City fans' folklore. Hold on to those treasured memories lads.

He was a legend and that is not an overstatement
Phone call after phone call all last night and this morning, he will be the subject of many a conversation at the game today, i'm not on social media but I believe the tributes are unbelievable

So sad to hear about Brian, me and him were really good mates mid 70's to early 80's. Lost touch, but bumped into him now and then, but not seen him for about ten years. Good lad to have at your side when the shit hit the fan. Got some great memories of him from those days and some funny ones as well, especially involving the Superblue transport wagon that 40 of us used to pile in the back of to away games. Those were the days. God Bless mate

RIP Brian.
I only found out yesterday.
The last time I remember.seeing Brian was at the Dental Hospital Car Park in 2002.
Previously there were a fair few memories from the 80's....
Happier Days...

I have known brian for many a year , being to many a game with him OT THE MICKEY THE COCKNEYS ,GEORDIES , we had it big time with some off these mobs , but he never showed any fear ,and he love a day out in LEEDS, then come home a knock fuck out off the reds , there were some good lads then scotty form Salford , daffy , and many more and a good few beer monster , RIP MY BLUE FRIEND ,,GONE TO THE KIPPAX IN THE SKY..

Gutted, since I heard the news. I'm surprised by how many times I remember Brian being around in some of the livelier incidents of my younger days....
Also had a lot of dark/funny stories. The Leeds fan with the broken arm and Scotty's smouldering pools coupon in the Oldham Street Blob shop spring to mind.....
RIP Top Geezer.

Im sure everyone must know of brian slaters passing away. It looks like brian's daughter who is only 20 has been left with the arrangements of sorting out his funeral. There will be a lot of pressure on her young shoulders trying to sort out all the finance for this so some of the lads are organising a collection to help with costs. Sean mcmullen will be collecting at the hull match on Saturday, you will find him at ht in colin bell level 1. Block 128 and in the Manchester pub afterwards. Brian Slater is one of our own and one of our finest, so come on blues lets see that he gets good send off! Ctwd
