Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

After 19 pages we can close it down to two options.
1 - she was on zoom meeting with the dog running after the ball, dog brings ball back to her but it rolls into the water, she puts phone on the bench as she will be quick reaching the ball.
She leans forward and either has a giddy spell or just lost her balance and fell into the water leaving no signs on the bank. Sadly the water will take her a long way before someone finds her body.
2- The aliens have taken her.

Sad for all involved but these things happen unfortunately.

The Zoom meeting sounds slightly more plausible, only just mind....

Who'd abduct someone with a large dog ?
Bit of a risk. Unless the dog has a mild nature and the abductor knew that.

It's a long river with a long path. When the police mentioned locks do they mean that parts of the path alongside the river are locked off?
I was just thinking someone could have walked along the path from a long distance thus avoiding CCTV.
If she'd been abducted then the dog would be tied up, otherwise the dog would have followed her.

Firstly, I am hoping for great news and that Nicola Bulley is found alive and reunited with her two young kids and family asap.

Recently a few people I know were following the university murders case in Idaho, and they were scathing of the police (as were many people), saying they were seemingly uninterested and so on. Little did they know the FBI had a suspect under surveillance and he was eventually arrested once they had what they needed. Slowly slowly and all that. I shouldn’t imagine all the social media speculation helped one bit while they tried to do their work.

There’s a good chance the police know sigificantly more than they’re letting on with regards to Nicola Bulley’s disappearance. Armchair detectives on internet fora and social media are probably doing more harm than good at this point. Of course I could be totally wrong and they might be genuinely perplexed like we are.

In the old days this case would be a segment on each news bulletin and groups of friends or families could then speculate amongst themselves. The police could then get on with what they need to do relatively unimpeded. With the internet, everything’s amplified for millions of people to see and read. Plus many people seem to think they’re entitled to know everything about everyone all of the time - even if there’s good reasons for them not to have that info.

If the police briefing vaguely or even contrary to what they truly believe helps buy some time to get her home to her kids, that’d be fine with most people I reckon.

I’m going to keep my fingers crossed, keep praying for Nicola Bulley and her family, and let the police do their job. They know what they’re doing, and I am certain they will get to the bottom of this case in due course.

Even yesterday I saw on the Fail website that the cops theorised she may have gone in to retrieve a ball - seems odd they didn’t know that she’d stopped taking one out
I watched the whole police presser and they never mentioned a ball and her mate said she didnt take balls on the walks anymore because the dog would mither her non stop to throw it

A week of hardening up and focusing on his daughters. He would be no use to anyone as a wreck.
Until you’re put in his situation you have no idea how you’d be. None.
Agree. In these situations one can either go to pieces, or appear as cold and unfeeling whilst trying control one’s emotions. Striking the balance between the two is incredibly difficult. Wouldn’t wish it on anybody.
