Bears shut out the Steelers with three touchdowns?
The Pirates are my second team — hurts to see them so woeful :(

Have a passing knowledge of baseball from American friends. I have heard a few times that the White Sox are a more blue collar team than the cubs in Chicago. Would be interested in your take on this as a fan . Do you see a bit of city in them ?Season starts proper tomorrow. Hard to see beyond the LA Dodgers, assuming they can keep their roster fit, but maybe the Blue Jays can challenge from the American League. Still don’t think the White Sox have enough to go further into the post season, unfortunately.
With the cricket season starting tomorrow, too, summer must be close.
There are always maps of the country showing where teams draw their support from, and the Cubs always appear more popular at the state level, popular even into neighbouring states. The White Sox are typically shown as drawing their support from inside the city and more from the Southside, which is historically poorer, with maps showing the city divided north and south. Neither club has ever enjoyed great success (3 World Series apiece).Have a passing knowledge of baseball from American friends. Yeah thats a pretty special achievement to get 3000 hits and 500 HR's and pretty much all as a tiger as well. Nice to see tiger stadium full and celebrating that, been a while since they've had much to cheer.Great day for Cabrera and all Tigers fans today.
Thanks find that kind of stuff very interesting. Will put the White Sox on my approved list !There are always maps of the country showing where teams draw their support from, and the Cubs always appear more popular at the state level, popular even into neighbouring states. Bit of history for the Mets. Only their second ever no-hitter.
