Last Three rises on Haven sites have been over 10% each time. People are selling statics they bought for £30'000 Two years ago for £10'000 back to the site. They then put them back for sale at £30'000. Criminal.

This is a site that's got MP's on board now to try and regulate the industry. There's some fuckin heartbreaking stories of folk getting shafted from the sites they have Vans/Lodges on.

It's called Holiday Action Group on Facebook.

Good post

One of my mates just bought one out there, cracking deal no issue's what so ever they must be really struggling.
You still living in your post brexit utopia I see?
Good on your mate, presume they are content with the 90 day maximum stay or are they EU residents?

the cartel of supplier/retailer in the UK means you pay twice the new price compared to similar/better spec'ed models in Spain, pre-brexit. The monopolies and mergers commission that is supposed to .... wtf, everyone knows the public get shafted all the time, that "watchdogs", offshit and the like only watch share prices, that high interest rates enrich the banks and financial spivs.

Yes doing really well thank you, Yes happy with 90 days although him and his partner stop longer Spanish ain't arsed if you bring money. When he retires will apply for EU residency doesn't seem that big an issue he's not worried in the least.

a mate has bought one of these on a residential plot after selling his home because of debt problems, he came out of the deal with 100k and paid 42k for this so banked 58k with debts all clear, 2 bedrooms, nice balcony wrapped around it for sitting out in the summer also has a life span from 50-70 years depending on maintenance keep up,council tax band A, seems a far better option than renting a flat on scum street as he wouldnt have got a mortgage because he's 63, not to sure if he has to be out for 7 weeks mid winter, some sites are permanent all year, But no big deal to spend the 7 weeks in Goa i suppose. think its the ideal move, anyone done this or thinking about it
Havent read the thread further than this OP but I imagine it says much the same as this.. Hed have been better off banking 58k and renting a house. By the time he has paid the ground rent and bought the fuel off them to heat it he will be paying the same money as private rental probably.

They will be in for a shock when the new EU visa starts later this year and the electronic entry system initiates at the end of the year.

Fines for exceeding 90 days in Spain start at €501 up to €10,000 with potential deportation and entry ban.

And he won’t get EU residency unless he has lived permanently for 5 years in Spain.

He might be as thick as all the others who bought the “nothing will change” mantra.
