Modric

In our team Barry>Modric every game. Modric is probably the better player overall but for our team it's not even close. When Barry is not able to keep on playing week in week out for us Modric should not be his replacement, mainly because he can't defend. We will need someone like De Rossi.

not for me, not needed and not good enough.

correct

Being better than our other options,he would improve our squad dramatically and would allow Barry to be moved on,where is the problem?

why would moving on Barry be a good thing? I assume you actually watch City play? Incredible

this has to be a joke.. our other centre midfielders are Nasri, Rodwell and Garcia!

i'd have him in a heartbeat

-- Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:58 pm --

He will improve any team in the Premier League imo.

correct, not one team in the league who wouldn't benefit from having him in their squad/team

I'm not going to argue whether Modric or Barry would fit in better with your set up but the bolded comment, how much have you seen Modric play?

I get the impression more than a few believe he is in the silva, rather than the Barry, mould.Probably to do with his stature, which is deceptively powerful.

for me,he is a superb deeplying midfielder,a player we need.

Modric isn't the best at defending SpursPainter, he's not the strongest like a De Rossi or De Jong, he doesn't reard the game as well as Barry, Busquets or Carrick, not saying I don't rate him(I wasn't his biggest fan at your lot but think when he's played further forward like he is at Real he's much better.) in place of Nasri he'd be a great buy but no way jose in the Barry role.

Enough to know that defending is not his strong point and in that department him and Barry do not even compare.
