I’ve got about £30,000 in my savings account but I get a measly rate, so I want to move it to a higher interest, or invest. Any suggestions folks?

Don’t forget unless you put it in a tax free wrapper you’ll pay tax on an interest over £1000 if you are a basic rate tax payer, £500 if higher rate. £30K will earn well over £1000 at 4%+.

Please don’t take this as gospel but property is a reasonably safe investment.

I own two flats at 43 - renting one and living in one. When I upgrade to a house then I’m renting both out forever. This income should help me retire early.

I could make more doing other things but I hate risk and stress. I lead a very simple life in many ways.
