There’s a woman I work with who must be approaching 25 stone. She can’t walk anywhere without sweating and wheezing. Yet her desk drawer is always full of chocolate bars and she drinks at least 3 cans of full fat Coke a day at work. It really annoys me. I don’t say anything to her and just let her get on with it. She is probably waiting to have a heart attack before making some lifestyle changes. Even then it might be too late. Why do these people seemingly not give a fuck about being this way? Just knock the pop and chocolate on the head and drop about ten stone easily. It’s baffling.

Maybe and that’s why I don’t say anything to her but it’s mightily frustrating watching somebody fritter their health away. Life is too short as it is.

None of us know what on earth another person is going through daily so maybe think about that and perhaps step back.

Its an emotional-addiction-trauma something condition that makes it just as hard to quit as heroin, alcohol, gambling, nicotine or anything like that. Are you equally disturbed when you see people hurting themselves in other ways?

I doubt she feels proud of it, but is more likely in a vicious circle of hating her body and eating to feel better.

If you could solve that problem, you’d put Slimming World and Weight Watchers out of business and make a fortune.
