Just watched Sky twisting and manipulating things to show City in as bad a light as possible.
First they slag us off for the negativity of last nights performance, emphasising the 'no shots on target aspect', then list all our current strikers, highlighting the fees paid and further suggesting there was no excuse to play tactically for a draw.
They then compile a minute by minute, microscopic breakdown of every stoppage, substitution, and even the seconds taken by Joe Hart in taking each goal kick, totalling every time consuming incident and coming up with a total of 8 or 9 minutes.
What would have been maybe more honest and indicative of just how corrupt this league is, would have been for them to check their footage for stopages in United games where they have played 6 minutes+ of injury time, am pretty sure that might have been interesting. For a referee to miss something is one thing, but to apparently see something that never happened is a sure sign of disshonesty and cheating.
Our game plan was not something I would express pride in, and was hard to accept, however the performance and ultimate result showed we now have a strength and capabilty of holding out against some of the most attacking and confident sides in the world. It wasn't pretty, but it was a masterclass in defending and a tactical victory over argueably one of the finest tactical managers in modern football.
In Arsenals case, even with Sky's manipulation of the facts, they had at least 85 minutes of open play and didn't score, so it's pretty unlikely if the officials had added a further 5 minutes, the result would have been anything but the draw they ended up with.
