Morgan Gibbs-White

No he is not a better CM than Kovacic. MGW brings graft and smarts. Not as nice a touch as Bernie but way more athletic.

What's attractive about Bernie is that he never gets injured and is always available. Kove is a far superior player at present.

And Nunes is nor dreadful at RB. Can't even name many better this
Bernardo is levels above Kovacic and MGW. To say otherwise makes me question have you watched his contributions since he joined us. Never quits, unreal work rate. Can play across midfield has played fullback. The guys class. Kovacic has been okay in the worst city team in a decade. Nunes is shite. Look at his gaff against Bournemouth. Pep didn’t fancy him for cup final and that’s likely because he generally commits a blunder once a game. He’s played because we have no one else. Wouldn’t get anywhere near our closest rivals teams or a top European rival.

timer doesnt start till he's here. Loans abroad stop the clock (as far as im aware to stop circumventing etc)

I’m not 100% dure on the rules but I thought you had to ensure the player was registered with parent club and could in theory play but the loan can be a maximum of a year.

only within the UK i think. Abroad stops the clock.

Loans can impact a player's homegrown status. If a player is loaned out to a club within the same national association, their loan time may still count towards their homegrown status at the parent club. However, loans to foreign clubs may not count towards homegrown status, and it's best to loan out players once they have achieved fully homegrown status.

Don't confuse the folks, why not read the rules...

Here are the FIFA rules:
https://www.fc-noris-german-players...he-Status-and-Transfer-of-Players-08.2020.pdf

Chapter 5: Registration
1. A player must be registered at an association to play for a club as either a professional or an amateur in accordance with the provisions of article 2. Only registered players are eligible to participate in organised football. By the act of registering, a player agrees to abide by the statutes and regulations of FIFA, the confederations and the associations.

2. A player may only be registered with one club at a time."

That means "parent club holds the registration" is plain false.

Otherwise we would sign 10 young talents, send them on domestic loan for 3 years and get back 10 club trained players??
Nope.

Its silly to argue about what a player ' has done since they joined us' in a discussion about what to do going forward. Should we also suit Yaya and David and get them ready coz they were far better players than Kova?

Its irrelevant how great Bernie has been. Currently, he is not as good a central midfielder as Kovacic. That's just a fact. They both played a lot this season and Kovacic is far far superior.

Nunes is r worth arguing over. Those who sont like him, don't. Its worth noting that without him and Kova against Palace we looked toothless.

Maximum of one years loan in the 3 year period according to UEFA but what I was originally asking related specifically to Echeverri. He signed in 2024 but it seems the loan in Argentina is an issue but the guidance is pretty hard to find. Most online sources reference football manager which may have its own interpretation of the rules.

No need to be so angry. It’s a confusing set of rules that I genuinely can’t fully work out.

You thought Zinchenko was going to be a great left back. You fought his case just as hard as you fight for Nunes.

Remind me again what's happened to his career?

City sold him, can't get a game for arsenal, because he's a fucking liability.

As many of us told you at the time.
