TMQ messaged me just before he left. Think he just got tired of letting forum stuff wind him up. Was always one of my favourite posters, great lad.It was a shame that he left, as he seemed like a pretty sound guy. Guess it’s the nature of forums that people will always come and go.
The guy who collects City shirts from Milton Keynes? Fucking hell, don’t ever recall much beef with him! My memory is getting worse (worryingly so!).Colin Bell (Mark). Uncle is ex city player and ireland manager....not one of Roy keanes mates ;-)
Can relate to that tbh! But yeah he was a good lad.TMQ messaged me just before he left. Think he just got tired of letting forum stuff wind him up. Was always one of my favourite posters, great lad.
Yeah, because he aimed it at me and Black sheep lolThe guy who collects City shirts from Milton Keynes? Fucking hell, don’t ever recall much beef with him! My memory is getting worse (worryingly so!).
Black sheep, fucking hell! I guess the sheer quantity of users over the last 20 years makes it impossible to remember everyone, but always find it mad when people mention users that I’ve almost completely forgotten. Someone asked about Guv a while ago and it had a similar effect.Yeah, because he aimed it at me and Black sheep lol
Ha!! Guv. Yeah.Black sheep, fucking hell! I guess the sheer quantity of users over the last 20 years makes it impossible to remember everyone, but always find it mad when people mention users that I’ve almost completely forgotten. Someone asked about Guv a while ago and it had a similar effect.
Me neither :(Ha!! Guv. Yeah.
To be fair though there was only a few hundred of us then ;-)
These days I can't keep up.

I’m just pissed nobody got my Michael Collins reference.Yeah
Ah, sorry :-(I’m just pissed nobody got my Michael Collins reference.
Not the thread for it, so I won’t get started on a Friday night which is traditionally my more light hearted, music and drink night, but a lot of Irish fought in the British Army in the First World War, thinking it was the right thing to do and Ireland would be rewarded afterwards with Britain respecting the 1912 Home Rule Bill.Ah, sorry :-(
I always like your posts in the Brexit thread though ;-)
The Irish issue is interesting for me as I've been trying to learn more through my ancestry.
1800s Dublin (The Coombe) is my point of interest at the moment, particularly how 2 of my g grandad's cousins fought for the British Army at that time (one of whom died in Belgium).
It's fascinating.
Edit...not 1800s fighting, WW1 fighting ;-)

Don't want to derail the thread, but yes I found them too. Excellent aren't they ;-)There were some Dublin marriage and Baptism Records online I was shocked to find them free instead of the expensive History sites.
As I won’t pay it was fantastic to make a breakthrough and find family way back in the 1700‘s. I’ve given up searching now as a lot of records are just not there it was a hobby for a short time.
