Most pissed you have been at a game..

Had a few pints of Old Speckled Hen before a match at Oxford in the 90s, bit 'wobbly' after that.
Everton, night game 1986. Met my brother (who was at Liverpool Poly) who took me on a tour of all the City centre pubs we went in, of which there were loads!
Got to Goodison, Everton scored after a few minutes (could have sworn I saw about 4 balls going into the City net).
Battered 4:0 by a very good Everton side, Lineker getting a hatrick.
Stayed at my brothers flat, where he cooked me a chilli , felt absolutely shite the next day!

Had to chuckle at the post from Blue Mist about his rule about not getting pissed before a game(though I can understand about not getting pissed in Switzerland, which is SO expensive)
My rule, along with probably thousands of other Blues used to be 'Get as pissed as possible before a game'.. especially during most of the 90s as it did tend to help you forget what you had witnessed!(some of it anyway!)

They equalised in last minute, went to replay at Maine Rd, which we won 2-1 to set up tie against United. Which we lost 2-1. The game Uwe opened scoring for us and they got that snide pen
that replay at Maine rd was when we gave them the whole North stand & they brought about 500,it was sick & was another example of how badly we were run at the time...

It was the Frog and Parrot on West St that sold the strong stuff, there was one beer they only sold a third of a pint at a time, it was like drinking treacle, horrible.
The beer was called Roger and Out. Horrendous stuff but got you very pissed

Yep, true but the crowd that night was still under 23k so wouldn't have made much difference wherever we'd have put them. But you're right, we were a shambles.

And then there was Basle, away. I flew into somewhere and had a couple of beers, met up with the London Blues and had more. We then went to a 'pub' right outside the ground and had even more but..... I stuck to my rule, dont be pissed before the match and was OK. After the match is different and we left the ground and went back to the same pub. After that it is a total blur, I am told we got on the wrong tram and ended up miles from where we should have been.
Apparently I tried flagging a taxi down whilst sat in the middle of the road. Fortunately the cop who got out saw the funny side and radioed for one. Well they both have lights on the roof, how was i to know !
If it wasnt for a brilliant London Blue who got me back to the apartment I think I would have frozen to death in the wasteland that is a Basle industrial estate.

So, a quick mention to all the the London Blues who have drunk with me in Turin, Basle and just about every other City we have visited these last few years. A better bunch of drunks you could not wish to meet.
It was fucking freezing in Basel!

I'd go for Lokeren myself. We'd stayed in Ghent the night before and woke up the morning of the match bright and early and set off to find some breakfast. Before finding anywhere we stumbled across a small bar in a backstreet that was just opening up so as you do we wandered in for an eye opener.
4 pints of Stella please barman.
That's cats piss try this (or words to that effect) he said pouring out 4 pints of another lager for us. We all had a mouthful and agreed it was very decent so we grabbed a table and started to plan the day.
We finished our pints and thought we'll have another of those so sent one of the lads up to the bar. He returned a couple of minutes later with the drinks and an amused expression on his face.
You know these beers we're having on an empty stomach at 11 in the morning? Well they're about 9%....
Don't remember much about the rest of the day.
